Providing support through life's greatest challenges and changes

Why work with me?
Qualified
With a Masters of Clinical Psychology, Honours of Psychological Science, and a behaviourist background, I am well-equipped and experienced to provide psychological therapy. I am a registered psychologist with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Compassionate
My core values are openness, freedom, and growth. I am committed to deeply understanding people and the complexities of the human experience. I strive to positively impact society, starting with connecting with and supporting individuals on a personal level. A safe therapy space leads to greater openness and trust during sessions.
Human Experience
Throughout my life, I have witnessed the mental health challenges faced by families, friends, and coworkers. Having personally experienced various life transitions and the behavioural difficulties accompanying them, I am eager to understand all aspects of the human experience and help people navigate these challenges in a supportive environment.
Background in Behaviourism
Before pursuing psychology, I underwent dog training while serving in the Royal Australian Air Force. Witnessing the effectiveness of behaviourism sparked my curiosity about how psychology could be used to enhance mental health, meaning in life, performance, and overall human experience for myself and others. This background is uncommon among clinical psychologists, and I leverage this unique knowledge to enhance my services.
Knowledgeable
I am across several evidence-based approaches and have undergone specialised training to help clients navigate several mental illness disorders. I have a diverse range of knowledge and experience from private practice therapy and prison mental health services, working with other highly experienced psychologists, meaning I am well-equipped to provide mental health support for individuals from a broad range of backgrounds.

FAQs
Embark on a journey towards mental well-being with our expert, compassionate guidance and psychology services.
Your first session is an intake designed to see if we're a good fit and for me to understand what you're going through. We'll discuss your goals, challenges, and how we might work together moving forward, if you think that I'm the right psychologist for you.
Each session is scheduled for 50 minutes. This duration provides ample time to explore and work through your concerns in depth, ensuring a thorough and unhurried process.
While you may have preferences or ideas about what type of therapy might suit you, the approach will be collaboratively determined to ensure it best meets your needs. Guidance will be provided to select the treatment that aligns with your goals and treatment plan, ensuring the most effective path to your well-being.
Yes, ADHD assessments are available, along with comprehensive reports for NDIS, WorkCover, Medicare, and DVA, as required under these funding schemes. This ensures tailored support and documentation for your needs.
The number of sessions varies greatly depending on individual needs, goals, and the nature of the issues being addressed. Some may progress significantly within a few sessions, while others might benefit from longer-term support. This will be reviewed continuously to ensure your therapy aligns with your evolving journey.
Telehealth counselling is available on request. Before your session, you will be provided with a link, and all fees and processes remain the same.
No, this is optional. However, having a mental health care plan can, in certain cases, reduce the costs associated with your counselling services. However, it's always best to speak to your general practitioner or referring doctor about the best way for you to access the counselling you need.
That's totally okay – this doesn't mean you can't access the help you need. Clinical psychologists often have areas that particularly interest them, or where they feel most comfortable, and I can help recommend one of many other Brisbane psychologists who might be able to help you better.
